Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange is an experienced and compassionate Pediatric, Geriatric, and Psychiatric Nurse with 13 years in the industry. Patient rights advocate with excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Track record for demonstrating strong leadership, team management, crisis management, and organizational skills. Patient-focused care provider dedicated to patient success. With the love and passion for care, here comes Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange, with more than a decade of experience in the field of nursing.
Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange offers a unique blend of leadership, vision, and knowledge. She served as the CEO/FOUNDER of Love One Home Healthcare, Inc., for the past eight years, where she has increased productivity.
Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from Shenandoah University in 2009. She worked in various areas of nursing, such as Medical-Surgical, Education, Homecare, pediatrics, Case Management, Informatics, and Psychiatric. Later, she attended American Sentinel University in Denver, Colorado, where she received a Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing specializing in Nursing Informatics in 2016. After receiving her MSN, Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange continued working in a diverse area of nursing. Afterward, she decided to earn her doctorate. She attended American Sentinel University and earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in Executive Leadership in 2019.
With the rising need for mental health crises and the shortage of Mental Healthcare Professionals, Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange returned to school and attended Walden University. She earned her Post-Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health in 2021.
Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Registered Nurse (CRN) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified (PMHNP-BC).
Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange specializes in treating patients with various mental health diagnoses such as Neurodevelopmental disorders, Schizophrenia spectrum, and other psychotic disorders, Bipolar and related disorders, Depression disorders, Anxiety disorders, Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, Trauma- and stressor-related disorders, Dissociative disorders, Somatic symptom, and associated disorders, Feeding and eating disorders, Elimination disorders, Sleep-wake disorders, Sexual dysfunctions, Gender dysphoria, Disruptive, impulse-control and conduct disorders, Substance-related and addictive disorders, Neurocognitive disorders, Personality disorders, Paraphilic Disorders, and Other mental disorders.
Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange is Licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
In addition to her role as the CEO/FOUNDER, Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange has been involved in research studies and helped doctoral students with their Capstone Projects and Thesis. She also gets them ready for their final defense. Dr. Christina Ekoko Abange is a preceptor and committee member for nursing and doctoral students.
Her upbringing nurtured the core values that shaped her into who she is, loyal, compassionate, loving, caring, and honest, with a solid attachment to family and community. It also taught her the importance of hard work and perseverance in pursuing one’s desired vision. Dealing with her elderly parent’s illness and struggling with caregiving made her dive into the homecare business to care with passion and love, just as she would like her parents to be treated with passion and love.
